About World Bar Billiards
A great game. Great people. A bright future.
Bar Billiards is a game with a remarkable heritage, a unique character and a passionate community. At World Bar Billiards (WBBA), we believe its best days can still lie ahead.
Our ambition is simple: to celebrate everything that makes Bar Billiards special while creating exciting new opportunities for people to play, compete, improve and enjoy the game.
We believe that competitive sport should be challenging, rewarding and, above all, enjoyable. Whether you’re an experienced player, a relative newcomer or someone discovering Bar Billiards for the first time, there’s a place for you in our community.
Doing Things Differently
We’re passionate about creating events that offer something different.
Traditional competitions have an important place in our sport, but we also believe there’s room for fresh ideas, imaginative formats and new experiences.
Our events are designed to encourage participation, reward achievement and give players of different abilities meaningful opportunities to contribute and succeed.
From team competitions where every player has an important role to innovative individual and group formats, we aim to deliver events that are memorable for all the right reasons.
We want players to leave our events already looking forward to the next one.
Competition Without Losing the Fun
We take the quality of our events seriously, but we never want to lose sight of why people play.
The friendships, the laughter, the sporting rivalries, the encouragement between players and those unforgettable moments around the table are every bit as important as the final result.
We are particularly proud of the welcoming atmosphere that has developed around WBBA events, where established players and newcomers compete alongside one another, share their experiences and celebrate each other’s achievements.
We believe that great competition and great camaraderie belong together.
Embracing Innovation
Our commitment to innovation goes beyond competition formats.
Through the development of the WBBA Companion App, we’re exploring new ways for players to engage with the sport, follow events, record performances and enjoy their Bar Billiards journey.
Technology should complement the traditional character of the game, not replace it. Our aim is to make participation easier, information more accessible and the experience more rewarding.
It’s another part of our ambition to help a traditional sport thrive in a modern world.
Building a Stronger Bar Billiards Community
The future of Bar Billiards depends on the people who play it, the venues that support it and the volunteers who give their time to make things happen.
We value every one of them.
We want to encourage existing players to remain involved, welcome new players into the game and support opportunities for Bar Billiards to reach new audiences and communities.
We know that the strength of our sport lies not simply in the number of competitions we organise, but in the enthusiasm, friendships and shared experiences they create.
Be Part of the Journey
Whether you’re looking for your next competition, hoping to try something new or simply share our enthusiasm for this wonderful game, we’d love you to be involved.
